Shooting with London Andrews

Once again I had the distinct pleasure of shooting with London Andrews. She is a traveling model who had become a friend in the last few years. She is a striking young lady who not only creates stunning images but also has a vibrant personality.

She has traveled all over the country creating images with some of the most creative photographers including T. H. Taylor, Andrew Baran, and Ransom Rockwood to name a few. This summer she made a stop in the Baltimore/Washington area. We created some wonderful images at the newly relocated Sly Horse Studio in Rockville, MD. It was our first time there and it was fabulous. I look forward to working there again.

Shooting with London is always an adventure. It's a spark to my creativity and helps me get refocused for other photo projects I have coming up. Her input and participation in the creative process makes it even better. You can keep up with London on her blog at http://londonandrews.blogspot.com/.

Here are some of the images from the shoot:

Be a Valentine Everyday of the Year...

Socially speaking, this is the time of year everyone expresses love to a significant other, or for some others, on St. Valentine's Day. The story goes back to many years ago in the Middle Ages. Blah blah blah you can look it up on Wikipedia for more information. In the United States it has become another one of those let's see how many dozens of roses, boxes of chocolate, bottles of perfume or pieces of fine jewelry can be sold.

In all of this hype, what is lost? The true feeling of love and lust is lost. Should the receipt tally be the expression or totality of passion? Is there a flame still burning in the hearts of lovers? If you have to swipe for love or swipe to express, maybe you should look into something more personal and sensual. Think to yourself. “I will buy the flowers but maybe I can DO something for my love along with this exercise of retail peer pressure.”

You need to do something to trigger the libido. Open the senses and let the emotion of love and ecstasy fill the body and the spirit of you and your lover. It will do more than but a smile on a face it will make them alive again.

If you have to explore to find something new... explore. As the bodies are in the heat of passion, entangled, toes curl in a sweet release open up the pathway to a new passion in your relationship. But stay within each others comfort level. This is not a mind game or a plot to break the will of your lover but a path to extended ecstasy.

With all of that said... How in the world can all of this be accomplished in one night? It can not even be accomplished in hot weekend not even a month. But it must be something you do everyday to keep the flame of love burning in the hearts of both lovers.

So communicate, express, and explore. It all begins with honest communication. Cupid's arrow may have stuck you with love but you are the one that has to keep the fire burning. Love and be loved everyday.

Daring and Naughty

I have been trying to come up with some daring and naughty shoot ideas. Most everything that is done is a remake of something or a new twist to thi old. No point in reinventing the wheel. But we can make it faster and more efficient.

This Blog was started after I was inspired by London Andrews. AFter all these years I have put down the "pen" I now pick it up after being inspired by someone I have photographed. Her blog is an in-depth look at the world as she sees it as she travels the country.

I don't do as much travel as I once did but who does these days. But one thing that keeps moving are these ideas in my head. I have concepts that are completely rad in my head. I just need to let them explode out to be captured by the camera.

Thanks London

Yes, I have started

After working into the night and early this morning, I have began a new website. With the help of a well-known domain registration company, I was able to register a new domain name. Shortly there after I setup the add on domain with my hosting company.  I did some FTP with my HTML and WHAM! We have http://bowmanwanser.com.

This site is dedicated to boudoir or glamour photography. Boudoir is my preferred definition as the photographs created are more deep, personal and yes sensual. The site is an introduction to my work and to those interested in have a boudoir session with myself or another photographer. With it being on the world wide web it should get some good exposure but will it impact Central Virginia? This is the key question that runs though this bloggers mind.

With all this talk about photography I have yet to set prices for my packages. I will be putting something up very soon in the next few days. Perhaps even in this recession laced economy I can find folks that can see a benefit or value to my product.

Have a happy holiday season ;)
